Fashion Week Invites A/W 2012

Those fashion-y folk don’t skimp when it comes to promoting their collections. Seriously expensive photography, incredible advertising and beautifully crafted print work are pretty standard stuff in the world of designer goods.

This year’s invitations for New York fashion week A/W 2012 were no exception. We have picked our favourites, an amazing showcase of design and print innovation.

Haider Ackermann’s minimalist textured card was broken up with beautiful calligraphy-style printing, whilst Hermes understated white outer opened to reveal a luxurious cloth lined floral interior.

Céline’s giant-sized fold-out poster featured a screen-printed effect with vibrant colour and cool vintage imagery.

Chanel’s signature monochrome invitation features a panelled overlay, which slowly and tantalisingly reveals it’s contents as the card slides open.

Meadham Kirchhoff chose a vivid punk ere style theme with bold clashing colours and comic book style artwork and illustrations.

Roger Vivier’s invitations open to reveal an intriguing multi-layered graphic series of intricate die-cut Parisian landmarks

Reed Krakoff’s launch invitation was lined with a grey felt cover, which was apt as he was exhibiting felt-covered chairs at Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn’s gallery
