Brighton based Illustrator, Steve Wilson, is making something of a name for himself. You may recognise his distinctive illustration from his commissions for various clients including Nike, Virgin, Selfridges and Coke to name but a few. He describes his work as ‘somewhere between pop and psychedelia’. A modern psychedelia, his use of swirling shapes, vivid colours and trippy imagery is edgy and modern with a tip of the hat to retro eighties styles.
We love his quirky and individual style. With many larger companies turning to illustrators to represent their brand in a new and unusual way, talented artists such as Steve Wilson are having a moment. Creative, credible work from an accomplished British designer. Long may this moment continue.
